Find Financial Databases
In August 2025, this list of databases will be replaced by a new service. You can already check it out at https://libguides.uvt.nl/az/financial-databases. Please update your favorites and bookmarks. Read more about this change in our weblog.
How to use this list
This service lists the library databases available at Tilburg University.
- Filter this list alphabetically by first letter of title
- Filter the list by entering a term. This will then show those databases that contain this word in the database title, description, or keywords. It does not search inside the database itself. If you enter multiple terms, the result will be databases that match all terms.
- Click the title to access and search the contents of the database.
- Click a keyword to see all databases associated with that keyword, or an Access icon to filter by type of access. See the list of keywords.
- Click the More ... link in the description field to find even more descriptive information about the database.

CBOE Indexes | The CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange) Volatility Index® (VIX®) is a key measure of market expectations of near-term volatility conveyed by S&P 500 stock index option prices. VIX has been considered by many to be the world's premier barometer of investor sentiment and market volatility. The New VIX still measures the market's expectation of 30-day volatility, but in a way that conforms to the latest thinking and research among industry practitioners. The New VIX is based on S&P 500 index option prices and incorporates information from the volatility "skew" by using a wider range of strike prices rather than just at-the-money series. In addition, market centers must disclose the extent to which they provide executions at prices better than the public quotes to investors using limit orders.
